Next week, the four-decade-old PHC at Gadhboriad village in Naswadi taluka of Vadodara district will undergo its final inspection by the Quality Control Board of India before it is accredited under the NABH guidelines.
Over a decade back, the PHC here was in a very bad shape with leaky roofs and inadequate infrastructure. The condition was no better than that of a bus depot.
The accreditation of the health care centre is done under the criteria of patient satisfaction, community satisfaction, employee satisfaction and environment protection.
PHC at Gadhboriad is equipped with antenatal care unit, baby warmers, neonatal kits and other amenities for safe deliveries.
