Mr. Vijayakumar said a lot of importance was being given to maternal and neonatal care in Government hospitals through the Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (CEMONC) centres, which take care of mother and child. “The ultimate goal is to reduce maternal mortality in the State,” he said.
